Spaulding Hospital-Traumatic Brain Injury Model System
February 4, 2021 – Tri-model Systems Webinar on Chronic Conditions in Burn, SCI, TBI. SRHMS Spaulding Hospital-Traumatic Brain Injury Model System (SH-TBIMS) partnered with the Boston Harvard Burn Injury Model System (BH-BIMS) and Spaulding New England Regional Spinal Cord Injury Model System (SNERSCIMS) to host a publicly-accessible webinar focused on the trajectory of traumatic injuries developing into chronic conditions. The 1.5-hour webinar featured testimonials by 3 persons with chronic traumatic injuries (including a participant enrolled at SRH in the TBIMS National Database Study) who shared their personal experiences with the long-term impact of their injury and plenary addresses by Dr. Michael Choo, Chief Medical Officer for Paradigm Corp and Dr. Flora Hammond, Chair of the Executive Committee of the TBI Model Systems Program.
